Bobby Howard is senior pastor of Culver Road Church in Tuscaloosa for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Tuscaloosa City Council. He attended Pickens County Public schools, then attained a liberal arts degree at Shelton State Community College. Howard attended Stillman College where he earned a BA degree in business administration.
Howard was a United States Marine and a Vietnam veteran. He is retired from BF Goodrich after 22 years. He served on the Tuscaloosa City Council from 2005-2013. Howard's daughter Raeven Howard is currently following her father's footsteps as current District 2 councilor.
Pastor Bobby along with his wife Kim Howard are founders of the Culver Road Church. They were married December 24, 1982. They were both saved and filled with the Holy Ghost several years earlier. Pastor Howard was called by God as a teacher in 1978 and didn’t surrender unto God until 1986. Howard was licensed and ordained under Elder Sam Richardson at Miracle Valley Church of Tuscaloosa Alabama in 1987.
The Church was founded in November 1988 by Bobby and Kim Howard. The first services were held in their home and later moved to the present location at Culver Road Church next to Oakdale Elementary.
