Praise 93.3 & 790 WTSK salutes our Tuscaloosa Pastor of the Week Pastor Maxine Robertson of Voice of Truth Ministries Church in Greensboro, Alabama. Pastor Robertson is celebrating 18 years of pastoral ministry this month.

Pastor Maxine Robertson is the wife of Elder Victor Robertson and the mother of 5 children and 6 darling grandchildren. She accepted the Lord as her Savior in the month of June 1977 at the young age of twenty-three. She received salvation under the tutelage of Pastor Louise Reed in the Church of God in Northport, Alabama. She went on to be baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

After receiving the Holy Ghost she began to grow in the Lord in 1 year, the hand of God was upon her to preach the gospel according to Isaiah 61:1-3, it says "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek: he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. (2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn, To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."

She accepted the call to ministry and began to preach under Bishop Larry Smith. It was under his guidance that She learned to praise and worship God in spirit and in truth. She served faithfully several years.

During the next phase of her spiritual walk with God she was ordained under her Shepherd Pastor I. M. Wilson where she served as Assistant Pastor for seventeen years. During that time, she did the work of an Evangelist according to II Timothy 4:5 "which says" but watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. The work extended to Pickens, Marengo and Pickens Counties it was there she truly developed a burden for souls and as a willing vessel she was able to lead many souls to Christ. This experience exposed her even more on the field of Evangelism which led to Radio Broadcast Ministry on WWPG and WWQZ in Tuscaloosa and Eutaw, Alabama.

It was there her then Pastor Wilson moved her ministry to Linden, Alabama which Pastor Robertson was not released to go; it was then she was elevated to a new phase of spiritual growth and submitted under the leadership of the Honorable Apostle Samuel Richardson of Miracle Valley Holy Ghost Temple in Tuscaloosa. It was under his covering she also was elevated to the office of Associate Pastor and Assistant to him and while in ministry under his leadership she continued the work that was assigned to her hand prior.

She stays consistent with the call and charge upon her life to God. She also has sphere headed Prison Outreach, Women II Women-Through Women II Women Ministry (Where many women have been elevated in God spiritually, naturally, financially, etc. She continues to reach souls through radio, television, outreach community based and ministerial consultations and wherever God directs her path just to name a few.
