Alabama is full of new rising gospel artists who stand out from the crowd. One such artist, Perderous Coleman does so with his unique worship and music style. He has encountered much change in his life and his music.

Perderous Coleman, better known as “Perderous” is from the small town of Sylacauga, Alabama. He is the oldest of 3 children and the son of Percy and Delois Coleman. Perderous began his journey in music at a early age. By the age of 13, Perderous knew that singing was a gift that he had to share with the world. Perderous attended B.B. Comer High School and later graduated in 2011. He then went on to attend Talladega College where he sang with the renowned Talladega College Choir, under the direction of Ms. Lindy McCleod. With his high falsetto voice, and powerful tone, anyone that heard him knew he was called to the stage.

Facing life’s ups and downs, Perderous dropped out of college with no intentions on returning. Coleman said “I really don’t think I cared at that moment, I was tired of trying to please everyone and I honestly was ready to give up”. During his free time, Perderous began writing again, where then he wrote is debut single “Sleeping Prepared” that was released March 23rd 2018, produced by Jeremy Ivy of JaiMuzic Productions. Perderous went back and completed at Talladega College in 2018, graduating with his Bachelor’s in Forensic Science.

A year later he left the label and decided to pursue a life as a independent artist, and then after he released his second single “Your Grace” written by himself and produced by Rakeem Ivy. Perderous was able to use his gift from state to state blessing everyone that met him.

In 2020, he transitioned to The Tower of Prayer Church in Leeds, Alabama as worship leader under the leadership of Apostle C. Shaemun Webster. “Going on 4 years in the game, I learn something new everyday” said Coleman. Perderous will be releasing his debut album in 2022.
