Derick Womack was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Apostle D.J. Womack, Sr. and V. L. Womack. He is the fourth of five children and a high school graduate from Genesis Innovative School. Womack delights in singing. In 2017, He had the privilege of singing in the V.I.P. Conference with host Pastor John P. Kee, with Gospel Quartet great, Paul Porter of the Christianaires, and Sunday's Best Season Two soulful singer, Jessica Reedy, and S.M.A.C Alabama hosted by Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole.

He has led praise and worship for churches across Alabama, and he plans to take this gift that God has given him beyond the four corners of Alabama. Derick has a sound unlike any other and takes you in the presence of God.
