Praise 93.3 & 790 WTSK salutes our Tuscaloosa Pastor of the Week Dr. Ransey O'Daniel of the Christ Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. Pastor O'Daniel is very active in leading his congregation and helping in the West Alabama community.

Dr. Ransey O’Daniel was born in Dyer, Tennessee to Mai and Alfred O’Daniel. Dr. O’Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee where he graduated in May of 1993. After accepting the call to the Gospel Ministry he went to Atlanta in the Fall of 1994 to attend the Interdenominational Theological Center: Morehouse School of Religion. He graduated from Morehouse in May 1997 and received his Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Christian Education. He graduated form Howard University School of Divinity, May 13, 2000, with a Doctor of Ministry Degree.

In 2013, he founded the 10-4 Corporation 501c3 Human Rights organization too address racial, educational, and economic disparities in all societies. In addition, Dr. O’Daniel is an author, founder of the O’Daniel Consultant Firm LLC and 10,000 Strong LLC. Dr O’Daniel also is a very social conscience person and also an advocate for Human Rights.

He leads the Christ Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa on Greensboro Avenue weekly and travels to carry the gospel.

Furthermore, he has been a volunteer for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, NAACP, and Rainbow Coalition. In Atlanta, he could be heard on Thursday Evenings on WAOK radio during the Concerned Black Clergy Mission. Although, Dr. O’Daniel is a very socially conscience person and an advocate for civil rights of African-American people; he stresses Unity and Economic Independence are the keys to freedom and liberation for Black people. Furthermore, he is a Mason and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Even though he stresses the importance of education and service, he believes that having a relationship with Jesus Christ should be everyone’s first priority.
