Tasha Cobbs Leonard Named Billboard Gospel Artist of the Decade
One of the most powerful and influential female voices in gospel music has been named the Billboard Top Gospel Artist of the Decade. Tasha Cobbs Leonard has been bestowed the prestigious award of the Top Gospel Artist from 2010-2020 by Billboard.
The Billboard charts have released their end of the year and decade-end charts ranging from 2010-2020. She has not only been named the Top Gospel Artist of the last decade but also the Top Female Gospel Artist for the third in a row.
Tasha Cobbs Leonard is known for one of the most popular singles of the decade that propelled her into the gospel spotlight on the national scene is "Break Every Chain" which went platinum this year in sales. She also earned her third Gold certification this year for her no. 1 single “You Know My Name.” Cobbs current single “In Spite of Me” featuring Ciara is already in the Top 20 Gospel Radio chart and is the fastest rising gospel single of her career.
She also had a breakout success with "For Your Glory" which went to number 1 on the Billboard charts and she has garned much success with winning Grammy, Dove and Stellar Awards. In 2017, she married producer Kenneth Leonard. Cobbs-Leonard was worship pastor under Bishop William Murphy and John Gray as well this decade.
Some of my favorite songs by Tasha Cobbs Leonard are "Smile", "I'm Getting Ready", "Great God", "Your Spirit", "Overflow" "Put A Praise On It" and "This Is A Move" and you should add them to your library. I remember when she started as independent gospel artist in 2007-2009 and now she has risen with much success and now is even a pastor with her husband at The Purpose Place Church in South Carolina.
We wish much success to Tasha Cobbs-Leonard in this next decade in the gospel industry and ministry!
