Diva C. Hall has used higher education as a platform to engage students, faculty, staff, and community through coordinating Stillman’s Adopt-A-School programs, generating $15,000 in donations for the Stillman College Food Pantry, developing Stillman’s first student-lead Complete Count Committee with the U.S. Census Bureau, and creating virtual service-learning projects for student organizations.

In 2015, Diva founded Diva’s Day of Giving, an annual community engagement project established to serve the Stillman and Tuscaloosa communities through service and community outreach. Those efforts have granted her the opportunity to lobby for an increase of SNAP benefits and conduct research of food insecurities on college campuses and black communities. Diva is devoted to using her platform to meet the needs of our community. Diva’s Day of Giving has donated over 200-holiday meals and clothing for families in low-income communities each year and raised funds to pay utilities and housing payments for those in need due to COVID-19.

Diva C. Hall is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., the Diverse Business Council of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, a Chamber Ambassador of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, member of the Stillman College Women’s Council, and a board member of the Greene County Career Preparedness Advisory Board and Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation.
