Why not the lottery?

I noticed the senate president is pushing the legislature to consider a lottery for Alabama. I say, "Why not?"

If needed, people will go out of town or wherever to do what they want to do. Since we are in dire need of financial help, it seems the sensible thing to do is keep our tax money at home instead of job cuts, lay-off and closings.  That tax money can go a long way toward education. If we don't keep it here, I am sure other states will say, "BRING IT ON!"
