All of the largest cities in the state put on pretty extravagant events for this national holiday and they are capped off by fireworks at the end of the night. For 2015, you can expect many of the same great events of years past.

Tuscaloosa
Celebration on the River2015 will mark the fifth year for Tuscaloosa's 'Celebration on the River.' This big show originates from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, which provides a beautiful setting along the Black Warrior River. If you want the best view, which is inside the amphitheater, you won't have to pay a thing in 2015 as admission will be free. Thunder on the MountainQuite possibly the biggest and most extravagant fireworks show in the state, Birmingham's 'Thunder on the Mountain' is a 20-minute celebration that's even accompanied by its own choreographed music. 4th of July Fireworks ExtravaganzaHuntsville's largest fireworks display takes place at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. At $20 per car, you'll be able to enjoy the four-hour event that includes a Kids Zone, Rocket Park activities, entertainment from the 274th Army Materiel Command Band, and fireworks at 9PM. MAX Fireworks SpectacularImmediately following the Montgomery Biscuits baseball game against the Biloxi Shuckers, a special fireworks show will take place from Riverwalk Stadium. Enjoy an evening watching America's pastime and stick around for the celebration after. The city also offers a 4th of July fireworks cruise that will give you another great view of the show.
Mobile
Fireworks at Battleship ParkThere aren't many fireworks celebrations in the country with this type of setting. Mobile gives you the opportunity to celebrate the 4th of July at the site of the USS Alabama. You'll have to pay a small fee for field parking, but the event includes live music by the Mobile Pops. Fourth of July Fireworks CelebrationThe beautiful beachside city puts on its own celebration for Independence Day that includes carnival-like activities starting at 6PM and a fireworks show shot off a barge at 9PM. Fireworks at the FairgroundsThe site of the annual National Peanut Festival also hosts a fireworks show for the 4th of July. A $10 parking fee goes to charity and gets you into this four-hour event. Spirit of America FestivalOne of the best events in the Southeast, the Spirit of America Festival is celebrating its 50th year.
