Are we seeing more mass shootings in the USA?

The data is controversial, so it's hard to say.

It is not just America.Gun violence is everywhere.

A mass shooting happened in a mall in Europe over the 4th of July holiday. The former Japanese president was killed giving a speech earlier this week.

Since 2009, there have been 279 mass shootings in the USA, resulting in 1576 people shot and killed. This according to everytownresearch.org.

Why not Tuscaloosa, Alabama? Would any resident of Uvalde, Texas ever have dreamed it would come to their city?

We NEED to be prepared. As citizens and of course, first responders.

The Uvalde police department was woefully unprepared on that awful day.

It has been proven they waited for over an hour while the shooter was killing children and teachers.

I BELIEVE ALL POLICE DEPARTMENTS SHOULD HAVE MILITARY-STYLE DRONES WITH A TRAINED OPERATOR ALWAYS ON DUTY

One of the reasons police officers didn't want to go in the classroom in Texas, according to videos, was the fear of getting shot.

He had an AR-15 and they didn't.

This is why we need weaponized drones that can take out a shooter with no risk to officers. That's not to say the Uvalde cops don't have blood on their hands.

I believe they do. I also believe Tuscaloosa, Northport and other West Alabama officers would never wait an hour to go inside.

However, all that said, they need to be extremely prepared for the day this disease comes to our towns.

We have high-profile events and places in Tuscaloosa, and we all need to be prepared for what we would do if a shooter walked in our building.

I pray it never happens here. I would be devastated.
