Saturday night's game between Alabama and USC was a bit of a reunion for the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin. He spent more than three seasons in Los Angeles as the head coach of the Trojans and another six years as an assistant under Pete Carroll.

When the two teams squared off inside AT&T Stadium to open the season, there were still 19 players on USC's roster that played under Kiffin.

Even though the fans like to joke about the way Kiffin was fired at the airport after a loss, there's still a lot of mutual respect between the two parties. That was made clear following Saturday's game. Coaches, players and staff members came up to Kiffin after the game to congratulate him.

It wouldn't be hard to believe that some of them might even want Kiffin back on their sidelines after seeing what he's been able to accomplish at Alabama.

The Crimson Tide rolled up more than 450 yards of offense against the Trojans while playing two freshmen quarterbacks and four underclassmen at running back.
