The City of Tuscaloosa will hold an art contest in honor of the 2015 Tuscaloosa Regional Air Show presented by Pepsi.

This year’s topic for the contest is “Inspiring Others” to help celebrate the official theme of the event, Operation Inspiration. The contest is open to high school students in the Tuscaloosa County area. All qualified entries will be awarded with an air square for the Air Show on Sunday, March 29. The air square is a reserved 10-foot by 10-foot section located near show center that can accommodate up to five people.

Twenty-five winning art projects will be selected. Each winner will receive two tickets to the 2015 Tuscaloosa Regional Air Show pilot’s reception on Friday, March 27, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market. The three most inspirational projects will be chosen and recognized at the pilot’s reception. The Air Show pilots and crewmembers from the U.S. Blue Angels team and other air show performers will be in attendance.

Entries must be received by Friday, Feb. 27 and dropped off at the City of Tuscaloosa Environmental Services Department on Kauloosa Ave. Winners will be notified by Friday, March 13.
