The pandemic is not over as many are still battling COVID-19 in their own lives and as a nation the need for caution is still there, but the return of sports and the return of competition shows that the nation is healing and we are on way back to normal life.

According to John Talty and Matt Zenitz of AL.com, Monday night's national championship game between Alabama and Ohio State could be pushed back to a later date due to COVID-19 issues.

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach, Nick Saban is preparing his team to head to Arkansas for this weekend's matchup with the Razorbacks but that doesn't stop him from urging the public to be mindful of the COVID-19 pandemic. Saban tested positive in late November and was forced to miss the Auburn game but bounced back quickly and credited his recovery largely to receiving a blood plasma treatment.

Three days ahead of the annual Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Alabama Athletic department. This is the second time this season Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, however the first test resulted in a false positive diagnosis.

The SEC football weekend is dwindling by the hour with numerous teams in the conference having a COVID-19 outbreak. Four SEC games have been postponed due to one team the other experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri are all having to rework their schedules due to the virus.

Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers should not be allowed to reschedule this football game. LSU should be forced to forfeit the game due to carelessness costing the SEC and others the chance to watch this weekend's game.

Saban has been preparing for this week's game at home by watching practice and conducting meetings virtually through Zoom. Saban is now medically cleared to safely return to activity effective immediately.
