Even though a smartphone appears to be the ultimate of necessity, millions of people still do not use a phone that affords them the convenience of Internet in their pockets.

A large number of people, as it appears, some 2.07 billion mobile phones are expected to be sold this year, and 1.48 billion of them will be smartphones, which means that some 599 million will not be smartphones. This means that these phones will either be dumb phones, which do not do much except make calls and send texts, or feature phones, which do a few more things than dumb phones, but do not have touchscreens, GPS, or other features that make smartphones so, well, smart.
