Sex with Students: Epidemic!

Well it has happened very close to Tuscaloosa. You may be wondering what I have reference to? I am referring to a Pickens County teacher jailed on yesterday charged with sex with a student.

A teacher was booked into the Pickens County Jail at 11:45 p.m. on Monday. She is being held on a charge of school employee having sex with a student. This teacher is on the staff at Pickens Academy, a private school in Carrollton. Accoring to the schools's website, the teacher is the head coach for the girls's basketball team and also teaches physical education, computers and elementary school.

Pickens Academy officials indicated that "The primary concern of Pickens Academy is the safety of our students.

It is a very sad commentary when those who are trusted with the education of our children as well as well being betray that trust.
