‘Potentially Dangerous Situation’ Tornado Watch Issued in Advance of Severe Weather Outbreak in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION TORNADO WATCH in effect for our area until 8 p.m.
A Potentially Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch is the highest threat level issued in the National Weather Service's suite of watches and indicates an especially high risk for tornadic supercell development.

Storm shelters within the City of Tuscaloosa and at the University of Alabama will be open during the duration of the Tornado Watch as will county storm shelters within the watch area.
