The release states investigators determined 31-year-old Wesley Austyn Wyatt and 51-year-old Paul Harvey Fretwell were responsible for cutting catalytic converters off of vehicles at a business located in the 1600 block of 25th Avenue, which occurred over the last month.

Wyatt was charged with four counts of unlawfully breaking and entering a vehicle. Fretwell was charged with two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle.

Both men were booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail Wednesday where they remain as of Thursday afternoon. Wyatt remains on a $60,000 bond and Fretwell remains on a $20,000 bond, according to Taylor.

The arrests comes just days following the arrest of another Tuscaloosa man who was charged with allegedly stealing 150 catalytic converters last week.
