Even as a father and grandfather in my wildly, very, very early 50s, nothing beats the holidays and Christmas.
There’s just something about Christmas time, the way that the old folks smile, and you see the joy in the children’s eyes. It says Christmas will never go away.
I know it's not too late.
The world would be a better place
If we can keep the spirit
More than one day in the year
Send a message loud and clear
OK, I know I stole that from a Christmas song, but it is one of my favorite Christmas songs, and I would argue. It’s one of the best Christmas songs of all time.

It is time again in West Alabama for the Salvation Army's holiday red kettle campaign.
 
We had the chance to interview the director of the Tuscaloosa Salvation Army, John Edmonds, today, and he asked us to get the word out that Bell ringers are needed.
Edmonds told us that the Tuscaloosa area Salvation Army will be supporting over 1,000 children in West Alabama.
In fact, here is the conversation with Edmonds from earlier today on WFFN-FM radio

 
Come on, it doesn’t take much to stand there and ring a bell for a good cause for a couple of hours during the holiday season.
