I have never heard two words that sound as hideous together as "roach season".

Many experts say that summer is most often called "season" when it comes to the roaches.

That German one is a real you-know-what.

Hard to kill the German variation.

I hate that I am even doing this report right now.

However, many pest control experts say that as the weather gets cooler the roaches show up inside the house or office.

NOW, COMES NEWS OF AN ALABAMA CITY THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST INFESTED CITIES IN THE USA!

Have you been seeing them around your place more?

Dead or Alive! That's what they say at least.

I don't think there is anything worse than finding one of those suckers on their backs.

Why are they always on their backs?

Well, according to the folks at Terminix:

When a roach is dying, its high center of gravity pulls its back towards the floor. Its rounded back and weakened muscles prevent it from righting itself, especially on smooth surfaces, which results in it flipping. This is the simple reach why cockroaches die on their backs.

Yeah, ok, thanks for the info.

WHY IS IT "ROACH" SEASON?

Because they have been breeding (how awful) and the population is highest during the fall.

How 'bout that little nugget of information?

I do NOT like seeing a city in Alabama on the "MOST INFESTED" list.

Especially a city in West Alabama.

In the TOP TEN, no less.
