Thursday at the Jasper Civic Center, the public is invited to attend a special event. The special event begins at 5:00 pm and lasts until 8 pm. The event is hosted by Jasper Main Street, the Walker County Arts Alliance, and the Walker County Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature plenty of local art and a strong sense of community. Residents are invited to paint a tile that will become part of a mural permanently displayed on the side of the Glover Drugs building. The Walker County Arts Alliance will also show off "Liberty", part of the 50-mule public art project.

The city of Jasper invites those wishing to attend to arrive early to take part in the mural project and to stick around to enjoy the evening in celebration of our history and a bright future.
