One of the first things I saw after waking up was a photo of the sky taken somewhere in Alabama, and it was amazing. It looked a little like a huge jellyfish in the sky. Still, it was pretty breathtaking.

Elon Musk started a company called SpaceX, and he is always testing rockets over Florida. We're pretty close, so we can often see these rockets if we look up. That was very clear early today, as many people on social media posted pictures of the rockets. James Spann, a contributor here at Townsquare Media, was among the first to post about the strange sights overhead.

It reminded me of the Northern Lights photos we have all seen. Now, this might be the coolest time-lapse video you will ever see. Thanks to the Alabama Weather Network. What an amazing video. James Spann posted some more great photos of the event.

Some of these pictures of the Falcon 9 rocket launch are better than anything I have seen in a big-budget motion picture.

The launch took place at the famous Cape Canaveral, Florida. The home to many, many rocket launches over the years. The rocket was carrying a Dragon spacecraft on a mission to resupply the International Space Station. Experts say the trail we saw is exhaust that expands in the thinner air at high altitudes.

Regardless, it was quite a show.
