The Alabama Crimson Tide have been linked to several defensive back transfers during the early portion of the Kalen DeBoer era, and especially the spring transfer window.

The Tide tried to get Houston cornerback Isaiah Hamilton to visit, but he committed to Ole Miss after canceling his Alabama visit. However, Alabama did get Wake Forest transfer DaShawn Jones to visit, and it seems like the visit went well enough that Alabama is getting some help in a depleted secondary.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports, the expectation is that Wake Forest cornerback transfer DaShawn Jones will transfer to Alabama.

Jones was a two-year starter at Wake Forest. He started nine games for the Demon Deacons in 2023 and appeared in all 10, totaling 37 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, three picks, and two pass breakups.

Jones also had interest from other programs, such as LSU. Alabama may not be done in the transfer portal either, with Penn State safety transfer King Mack also visiting Alabama.
