COVID-19 Registration Appointments
COVID-19 Registration Appointments
How many of us know we can serve our community in many ways, and one way we can serve during the COVID-19 pandemic is to protect ourselves and others by receiving one of the COVID-19 Vaccines. By receiving the vaccine, we free up health care resources for those in need and others with at-risk health conditions.
Now you may be asking yourself whether the vaccine is safe? Contrary to what you may have heard, the COVID-19 vaccine will not give you COVID-19. According to Phase III data from Pfizer Biotech and Moderna, the vaccine is safe and more than 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 after two doses* .Yes, it is absolutely necessary for each person receiving the Biotech Pfizer and Moderna vaccine to receive the first and second dose to become fully vaccinated.
In an effort to increase the number of persons receiving the vaccine, COVID-19 Registration Pop-Up Sites are being sponsored through The Tuscaloosa County EMA. There will be one such Pop-Up Site on today, March 26, 2021, at the Alberta Baptist Church Parking Lot, from 8 a.m. - 5p.m.(Weather Permitting) The church is located at 2210 University Blvd, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
