Black Business Friday: Quench Your Thirst With King's Nade

It's hot here in Alabama! This summer heat can take a lot out of you and make you very thirsty. Luckily, there's a local Black Business that'll quench your thirst with some of the best lemonade I've ever had. Say hello to King's Nade!

King's Nade is based in West Alabama and is truly some of the best lemonade I've ever had. I remember Juneteenth weekend I saw their lemonade stand at Snow Hinton Park. All of their flavors were laid out nicely and the sign with and adorable young man caught my attention. I approached the table and was greeted with great customer service and after hearing the long list of flavors, seeing the fresh fruit that was placed in the lemonade cups, I couldn't help but to buy myself a cup.

The only issue was I had no idea what flavor to choose! Strawberry, green apple, grape, watermelon, pineapple, peach, blueberry, classic lemonade, the options seemed endless! I finally decided on watermelon lemonade and I got to choose the fresh fruit I wanted in my cup. It was amazing! I ended up buying my wife a cup and I purchased a gallon to take home. It was really good. Their slogan is "Handmade Just For You, You Gotta' Get it."

King's Nade started after Tuscaloosa Lemonade Day in 2019. The drink was so popular among family, friends, and patrons that day, Kingston's Grandmother, Cheryl Burrell-Smith was asked to continue to make the drinks for others and events. During the Lemonade Day, they served Strawberry Lemonade and Regular Lemonade. It was decided that if they were going to do it, they would do it right! Kingston's Grandmother, Aunt Triniti Smith, and mother Estacia turned it into a youth Entrepreneurship for young Kingston. They included other youth within their family and wanted to teach them how to make their own dollar and be their own boss. The business has grown from 2 to 13 flavors and other exciting treats!

King's Nade does pop-up events all around West Alabama with their delicious lemonade. You can check out their upcoming pop-up dates on their Facebook page. You can even contact them for special orders if you'd like your lemonade on a certain date.
