ALDOT Begins Resurfacing Project On McFarland Boulevard This Week

If you travel on McFarland Boulevard at all (and who doesn't), beware. The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to resurface ALL lanes from Academy Drive to Towncenter Boulevard on U.S. Highway 82/McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa this week.

The work will take place between 6 PM and 6 AM each night beginning Sunday. The project will last through Wednesday.

During that time, only one lane will be open for traffic on both the eastbound and westbound side. Drivers will likely face delays and ALDOT encourages them to use Hwy. 69.  You should also consider using The Western and Eastern Bypass, in you're near those roads, and need to get into the center of Tuscaloosa if you would like to avoid the resurfacing area.
