Dwayne “Big Daddy” Thompson competes in an episode of “Best In Dough” on Hulu. In this particular episode, three pit masters are competing for a 10,000 prize and Thompson wanted to be sure he represented the Yellowhammer state.

“Our food stands up to anybody, anywhere in the nation.,” Thompson said.

“We’re looking to bring a good light to Alabama...We were very excited about an opportunity to showcase ourselves on a national stage.”

Thompson made a few exclusive pizzas on the Hulu show and he’s giving Alabama residents a chance to taste the exclusive items this week.

He’ll be hosting a watch party for his National Television debut in Pelham.

Wednesday, September 28th the watch party will take place at Blues, Bourbon & Brews starting at 6p.

Residents will have a chance to not only try the exclusive items but also meet Alabama’s new national television star.

Thompson mentioned that he was able to use his own Big Daddy Bomb BBQ sauce and Shake and Rub all-purpose seasoning.

Originally from Louisiana, Thompson began selling his coveted sauce after suggestions while catering a private event.

“I was catering a private event one night for a friend in Birmingham, and three people walked up to me and said, ‘Man, you should bottle this and sell it. I would buy it,’ Thompson said.

“I heard a voice say, ‘Do it,’ and six months later, it was done, tested, approved, and packaged.”
