Today, WalletHub released some alarming facts concerning Alabama’s response to Coronavirus.  We already knew that every state around us had implemented a “stay at home” or “stay at place” order before we did, just as we were last in the Southeast (and one of the last in the country) to report a case of COVID-19. But since that first case, our numbers have increased at alarming rates!

According to WalletHub analysts, Alabama ranks among the worst in the nation in terms of tested cases of COVID-19 per capita and share of workers with access to paid sick leave and lingers around average in quality of public hospital system and total public health emergency preparedness funding per capita.

There is no area where we are anywhere near the best. As a matter of fact, out of the 50 states and Washington D.C, we are 48th when it comes to aggressiveness against the coronavirus.
