The Pitch Anxiety sets intensely and you are urged to protect yourself.
The Approach Some emails ask for credit card information, then bill you for products that never show up. Others include a link that will install malware to steal your passwords.
The Prevention Take the time to visit government health agency web-sites for updates. Be suspicious of emails during a crisis. There is no COVID-19 vaccine.
Digital pirates have seized upon coronavirus 2019 as a lure for their new scams and attack activities. Unfortunately, these nefarious persons show no signs of decreasing the scams. All of us therefore need to be on the lookout and stay on top of these ploys, including but not limited to those communicated through email.
