WTSK Welcomes Chris King to Afternoon Drive
790 WTSK has always been a station deeply rooted in Tuscaloosa's gospel community. From the onset, our personalities have been what we like to call "Tuscaloosa exclusives," those who are grounded in Tuscaloosa life who understand the lay of the land and how our communities function. It is an ongoing reality that there is no radio station in the nation like 790 WTSK.
The inclusion of an FM frequency, Praise 93.3, only enhanced our listenership and the way we serve our community.
So, when the Queen of Gospel Min. Sandra Johnson moved to working on Sundays only, we searched far and wide to find a suitable replacement for her show on Monday through Friday. However, we really didn't have to look too far.
Min. Chris King has served Tuscaloosa congregations for numerous years. A young man with an old soul, Min. King has been a part of the Radio Family for over a decade, often filling in to keep the show on the road when regular personalities couldn't work their shows.
Committed to the art of communication, King studied broadcast journalism at Troy University. He subsequently earned his Master's degree in public administration from Troy University as well before taking on a position teaching communications at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy.
He now returns to his first love: service to Tuscaloosa's gospel community with advanced knowledge of music industry happenings as well as events going on in local churches and community functions.
Min. Chris King may be found serving at Tuscaloosa's Macedonia Church, and now you can find him at 790 WTSK/Praise 93.3 Monday through Friday from 2 until 6.
