Today workers in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham are protesting along with 270 cities across the U.S. for higher wages. According to USA Today the fight for $15 began three years ago.

One in four manufacturing jobs in the US pay less than $11.91 an hour. Manufacturing wages rank in the bottom half of all occupations in the U.S.

Republican candidates are against an increasing the minimum wage which is currently at $7.25. Who can live on $7.25 an hour? I have said this before. I wish all the people opposed to raising the minimum wage would try living on $7.25 an hour.

I hope and pray that our 2016 presidential candidates take a serious look at this.
