Even if you don't particularly care for the game of baseball, you have to be a fan of Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox because.... Well, he's a West Alabama native who "takes care of home."

Each year, Anderson hosts one of the biggest back-to-school events in Tuscaloosa, offering free haircuts, styles for girls, and school supplies; and now, just a few months later, he is giving back to the Tuscaloosa area again with Homepla7e: Turkey Drive and Fall Festival. (By the way, the "7" in the place of "T" is a play on his number with the Sox.)

This event will be held at the Benjamin Barnes YMCA on Monday, November 25th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will include games, bounce house fun for kids, a pie eating contest, prizes, and a turkey giveaway!

Be sure to bring the entire family for a night of fun and the chance to be close to a Major League Baseball player from our area, which serves as proof that it can be done.
