Pickens County Sheriff Announces Arrests in Early June Murder
When crime occurs in small towns, even though most people know each other and probably have some idea of what's going on, the cases aren't always open and shut. Luckily, one case in Aliceville finally has some answers.
On June 1, 31-year-old Daniel Perez was killed in what is being described as a robbery gone wrong.
Today, Pickens County Sheriff David Abston announced two arrests in the case. Tommie Terail Jones and Jessica Shari Long, 29 and 28 respectively, have been charged with capital murder during the commission of a burglary and capital murder during the commission of a robbery.
Of course, every suspect is assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but great work from law enforcement in seeking justice for the life that was lost.
