Tuscaloosa Police Look For Two Drivers Involved In Chases

The two police chases happened within a half hour of each other and both involved Exit 76 off Interstate 20/59.
Tuscaloosa Police say that both of these vehicle pursuits were stopped by officers who felt that the public would be at risk if the pursuits continued.
One vehicle was a Toyota Camry, and the second was a Honda CRV.
The Toyota was pulled over due to an expired tag around 7:30 p.m. and the Honda driver was also driving with an expired tag just before 8:00 p.m. according to Tuscaloosa Police.
In both cases, the driver refused to stop and officers initiated a pursuit that lasted only a few minutes before officers pulled the plug.
Tuscaloosa Police told us they do have a suspect in one of the two incidents and they both are expected to be charged with felonies for eluding police.
