A nonprofit in Tuscaloosa will kick off National Child Abuse Prevention Month with its fourth annual Easter Egg hunt and Spring Fling Saturday.

Lisa Maddox, the executive director of Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, said her organization will hide plastic, candy-filled eggs all throughout Snow Hinton Park Saturday morning so children 10 and younger can hunt for them.

The event is free and open to the public and is set to kick off at 10:30 Saturday morning and wrap up around 1 p.m.

The Egg Hunt and Spring Fling will also feature a bounce house, a face-painting station, fun children's games and more.

"All children should be able to have a carefree, happy childhood and this Egg Hunt and Spring Fling is just all about the children," Maddox said.
