Adopt-A-School Golf Tournament Returns Sept. 3
Golfers, local businesses and community supporters will soon have the opportunity to hit the links while making a difference for students and teachers across West Alabama.
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will host the 36th Annual Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa Adopt-A-School Golf Tournament, presented by Innisfree Irish Pub, on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Ol' Colony Golf Complex.

The tournament will feature a four-person scramble with tee times scheduled for 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Awards will be presented to the top six teams with the lowest gross scores, and participants can also compete in a Putting Contest, sponsored by Rumsey Environmental.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Chamber's Adopt-A-School Program, which connects local businesses with public schools to provide additional resources, mentorship and support for students and educators throughout the community.
One unique feature of the tournament allows participating teams to make an even greater impact. Teams that win cash prizes can designate an eligible public school to receive their winnings, with all prize money paid directly to the selected school.
The deadline to register a team is Aug. 25. Businesses also have until Aug. 25 to become a hole sponsor, providing another way to support local education while promoting their organization during the event.
For more information about registering a team or becoming a sponsor, contact Carolyn Tubbs at Carolyn@westalabamachamber.com.
The annual tournament has become one of the Chamber's signature fundraising events, helping strengthen partnerships between the business community and public schools throughout West Alabama.
