Free Family Fun Awaits at Fathers in the Park
Father's Day weekend is all about making memories, and families across West Alabama will have a chance to do just that at the upcoming Fathers in the Park community celebration.
The Tuscaloosa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is partnering with Tuscaloosa's One Place to host the 2026 Fathers in the Park event, a free family-friendly gathering designed to celebrate fathers, father figures, and the important role they play in the lives of children and families.
The event will take place Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa.
Organizers say the goal is simple: bring families together, strengthen community connections, and create meaningful moments between fathers and their children.
Families who attend can enjoy free food and refreshments, music, games, bounce houses, giveaways, community resources, vendor booths, and activities for children of all ages. Whether you're a dad, grandfather, uncle, mentor, or father figure, the event is designed to recognize and celebrate the impact you make every day.

In a world where schedules stay busy and quality time can be hard to come by, events like Fathers in the Park create an opportunity for families to slow down, have fun, and build lasting memories together.
The theme of this year's event focuses on fathers building more than memories. They're building relationships, trust, guidance, and bonds that can last a lifetime.
If you're looking for something fun and meaningful to do with the family this weekend, this could be the perfect opportunity to spend time together while connecting with community organizations and resources that support local families year-round.
Admission is free and all families are encouraged to attend.
