The Best Fried Chicken in Alabama
Love Food has named the best spot in each state for fried chicken.
This subject is near and dear to me. Don’t tell my mother, but my Aunt Judy in Missouri makes THE best fried chicken in the world. I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the brown paper bag and all the seasonings on the countertop. The last time I had Judy’s fried chicken was about 15 years ago, but I did get one good plate in before she passed.
It could be the first crackle you hear when the chicken hits the fryer. But when you bite into a perfectly fried piece of chicken, it is about the textures and flavors. For some, it’s all about the crunch.
Alabama’s Fried Chicken Royalty Has Been Crowned
However, if you love fried chicken, you won’t have to go far to enjoy delicious, crave-worthy fried chicken in Alabama. Love Food has named Eugene’s Hot Chicken in Birmingham and Hoover the state’s ultimate destination for fried chicken.
"Whether you're craving chicken tenders, wings, or sandwiches, Eugene's Hot Chicken has all the bases covered, said Love Food. “This Southern-style restaurant has two locations in Alabama as well as a food truck and promises to deliver 'hot chicken done right.' One bite of the joint's mighty chicken sandwich will convince you that it's onto a good thing, which is probably why Yelp Elites named it the best fried chicken joint in Alabama in 2024.”
Please message me on our app and let me know your favorite place for fried chicken in West Alabama. Looks like the Bite This! Foodie review needs a road trip to taste test the recently crowned restaurant.
