Alabamians Get Ready for a Noticeable Temperature Shift This Week
Alabamians get ready for a tease of spring temperatures and maybe even a touch of summer this week. According to The Weather Channel, “We are about to go on a crazy ride as far as temperatures go through a good part of the country.”
In the Yellowhammer State, our average high temperature for this time of year is in the low 60s, with the average low in the low 40s.
Now, on Wednesday, a “cold front will push into Alabama, bringing a band of showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two; there is no risk of severe storms,” said James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist. “The day will be windy with winds gusting to 30/35 mph.”
Noticeable Shift in the Temperatures
“There will be a sharp thermal contrast across the state due to the front, said Spann.
These are current temperature projections from the National Weather Service in Birmingham. As weather conditions change, this could impact the daily forecast.
