Alabama has two players preparing to make decisions on whether they want to remain in the NBA draft. Jarin Stevenson and Mark Sears both declared early for the draft, but they both maintained their college eligibility.

Sears helped lead Alabama to its first-ever Final Four appearance in 2024. The senior from Muscle Shoals, Alabama racked up accolades during his second season with the Crimson Tide, totaling 21.5 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. Sears set the program record for most points scored in a single season with 797, broke Reggie King's record for most 20 or more point games with 26, and was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award.

The Crimson Tide's top option from 2024 is not receiving first-round grades, and is beginning to fall out of a handful of NBA mock drafts as well. The buzz around Mark Sears was that if he did not get a guaranteed contract, then he would likely return to Alabama.

Sears also had a workout scheduled with the Milwaukee Bucks on the day of the deadline.

The decision has been made. Alabama's leading scorer and captain from 2023-2024 will return to Alabama for the 2024-2025 season according to Sears's Instagram and X (Formerly Twitter) account.

Alabama immediately becomes a top-two team in college basketball with the return of Mark Sears. Alabama is still waiting on a decision from Jarin Stevenson.
