Senior guard Jessica Timmons left it all on the floor on Sunday as No. 24 Alabama faced No. 4 Texas in the last regular-season game. The Crimson Tide ultimately fell 72-65 to the Longhorns, but Timmons left her mark during senior night, giving the fans a show for the last home game of the season.

The veteran played a total of 29 minutes, leading the team in points with 24, three rebounds and three assists. It was her 10th game this season with 20-plus points.
Timmons, a Charlotte, North Carolina native, began her college career at NC State in 2021. In her two seasons with the Wolfpack (2021-2023) she developed her skills. In 2022, she had a career-high six rebounds against Davidson in 24.5 minutes off the bench.
After the 2022-23 season, she transferred to Alabama. In her first season with the Crimson Tide, she appeared in 32 contests, averaging 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. She achieved career highs in points (358), rebounds (143), assists (73) and steals (32), as well as in field goals (127), field goal attempts (297), 3-pointers (33) and free throws (71). Notably, she scored 18 points with five rebounds in her Alabama debut against Alabama State on Nov. 6 and later set a career high with 26 points and six rebounds in the loss at Auburn on Jan. 21.
Timmons had an impressive first year with the Crimson Tide, but in March 2024, she suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament quarterfinals on March 8 against Tennessee.
After the injury, she decided to take a medical redshirt for the 2024-25 season. For the 2025-26 season, she returned healthy, stepping into a starting role and becoming vital for a Crimson Tide team that finished the regular season 21-9, going 16-4 at home and 7-9 in the SEC.
Now, the team is set to make its fifth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance under coach Kristy Curry. As Alabama enters the postseason, Timmons' role will likely grow as the Crimson Tide continues to make history.
