The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Watch from Thursday morning through Friday for portions of Central Alabama.

This means that conditions are favorable for flooding. It is expected that rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches will be possible in Central Alabama.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham noted that “excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Periods of heavy rainfall are possible late tonight through Thursday night. Rainfall totals of two to four inches, with locally higher amounts, are possible.”
