Alabama Governor Kay Ivey just announced that many non-essential businesses across the state are now forced to close in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The announcement was made at a joint press conference with Dr. Scott Harris of the Alabama Department of Public Health. The new order from the ADPH forces non-essential businesses across the state to close at 5pm tomorrow (March 28th) and remain closed until April 17th.

The following businesses are to close as per the order.

In Tuscaloosa, the new 24-hour curfew goes into effect Sunday, March 29th.
