Amen,” lyrics now echoing in homes, church sanctuaries, concert stages, social media feeds, and radio airwaves across the nation.

Their breakout single, “Promises,” has not only captured hearts but also secured a historic milestone for the award-winning Gospel legacy quartet.

“Promises” has officially reached #1 on both the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart and the Mediabase Gospel Airplay Chart, marking the group’s first-ever #1 single. Even more historic, this achievement makes Lisa Knowles-Smith & The Brown Singers the first all-female Gospel quartet group to claim the top spot on both charts.

Each member shared heartfelt reflections on the monumental moment:

Lisa Knowles-Smith:
“To see this song reach #1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart is an incredible honor. It confirms that music grounded in faith, tradition, and purpose can still impact the entire nation. We stayed true to the message — God handled the reach. My mama would be so proud.”

Rachel Anderson:
“Hearing that we’re #1 on the Billboard charts feels surreal — gratitude, disbelief, and overwhelming joy all at once. This is God’s reminder that when you stay authentic through every high and low, He can take you further than you ever imagined.”

Jackienna Richmond:
“I am overjoyed and deeply grateful to hear we are #1 on the Billboard Chart. What a blessing to share the message of Jesus Christ on this level. To God be the glory!”

Sierra Pope:
“Finding out we’re #1 brought me to tears. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that God chose us. When God assigns it, He sustains it — and when He sustains it, He elevates it. The Lord is so kind.”

Written by Lisa Knowles-Smith and released on her label, Evoworld Entertainment, Inc., “Promises” continues to resonate far beyond radio success. The official music video has surpassed 3.1 million views, further amplifying its reach and impact.

For over five decades, The Brown Singers have remained pillars in Gospel music, faithfully honoring traditional hymns and spirituals while blending soul and blues into their signature, spirit-filled sound. Today, Lisa, Jackienna, Sierra, and Rachel continue that legacy while honoring the memory of original member Vanessa Yvette Brown Knowles. The Brown Singer name and sound live on in her honor, with Lisa’s daughter, N’dia, stepping forward to continue the family’s rich heritage.

While the accolades are remarkable, the group says the true celebration is the unchanging faithfulness of God.

“His promises are Yes and Amen. No matter the season or circumstance, His word never changes.”
