Frozen Organic Vegetable Recalled for Possible Listeria
Some fifteen packs of frozen organic vegetables are being recalled because they might be contaminated with listeria.
CRF Frozen Foods stated that Ohio officials discovered listeria in one lot of Individually Quick Frozen organic petite green peas and another lot of organic white sweet cut corn. Luckily no illnesses have been reported.
These listeria laden vegetables were sent to retailers and distribution centers in Alabama and many other states. This organism can cause very serious, sometimes fatal infections small children, frail or elderly persons, pregnant women or those with weakened immune systems. The symptoms include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
