Flooding Concerns Prompt Flood Watch for Several Alabama Counties
Rainy weather continues for most of the Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa coverage area through Friday. Alabamians can expect “multiple waves of showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain at times,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING

Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties:
Dallas
Greene
Hale
Marengo
Perry
Sumter
“Generally along and west of the I-65 corridor, greatest threat southwest where heavy rains fell on Wednesday.”

Now through 7 p.m.
IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Rainfall across already saturated ground may result in areas of flash flooding. Pockets of an additional 1 to 2 inches is possible with locally higher totals.
