It seems that recently, Juneteenth I've been hearing more and more about Juneteenth. I'm not upset at hearing more about it, it's actually exciting.

You can come to celebrate Juneteenth at Kentuck Park Saturday, June 19th, 2021 beginning at 10a. This is an event that you can bring the entire family to enjoy. There will be free food, bounce houses, games and activities, and a video game truck. I know it's for the kids, but who wouldn't love a video game truck?!

This Juneteenth celebration is open to the public and will for sure be a great time. The fun will be non-stop. To help you fight the Alabama summer heat, there will be a snow cone truck in attendance. There will also be voter registration onsite at this celebration.

According to CNN, The Senate unanimously passed a resolution on Tuesday establishing June 19 as Juneteenth National Independence Day, a US holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The legislation has gained momentum since the massive Black Lives Matter protests sparked by the police killing of George Floyd last year and the Democrats' takeover of the White House and Congress.

Grab your family, and come out to Kentuck Park in Northport to celebrate Juneteenth. It's a guaranteed great time for everyone.
