Calvin Richardson Sings with Rev. Tim Rogers and the Fellas on ‘Hold Out’

One could argue that the music scene in the Deep South is quite peculiar.  Artists hold fast to tradition while also progressing in style. The music can feel new but familiar at the same time.

Two genres that seem to have this down to a science are Gospel and Southern Soul, which isn't too surprising as both appeal to one's soul.

So, what happens when a popular Gospel act partners with a Southern Soul superstar on a project?  Check out this one from Tim Rogers and the Fellas with Calvin Richardson:
