Who doesn’t have at least one “friend” whose social media posts makes you wonder how you’re friends at all?  Most of us can’t go over a week without saying “I wouldn’t have posted that.”

This HAS TO BE the thought of those who follow 30-year-old Kenderick Omar Hill, of Opelika. Hill is accused of having kidnapped a 31-year-old man, tying him to a chair, and lighting the ground on fire. The Opelika-Auburn News reports that Hill recorded the events and posted a video to social media, which is what led authorities to him.

Officers recognized the location in the video; and upon response, they found the victim still tied to the chair. He was transported to a hospital.

We usually see oversharing around Christmas and tax time, maybe even vacation time.  Nothing says “come rob me” like showing your belongings and letting people know when you’re not home.

But oversharing of illegal activity… Well, sharing it period is stupid.  There is no evidence to gather when you’ve put it out there.  This is not to say that criminals should continue in their activity, but if they’re going to do so, they could at least be a bit smarter with it.
