If you haven't had a chance to try the new Central Mesa restaurant in downtown Tuscaloosa, Bacon Brew and Que will give you that opportunity on Saturday.

As the Mexican restaurant continues to fine-tune its menu, local chef Sara Newman has created a new dish exclusively for the event this weekend and it's packed with flavor. The dip is made with Charro beans and topped with a bacon jam, fresh corn, and a Serrano puree. You start off tasting the beans and bacon right away until the spice from the peppers finish it off perfectly.

The dish is unlike anything we've had before but would love to try again. It's not on the menu currently, but maybe we can convince them to add it after the weekend.

Make sure you check out Central Mesa and all the amazing restaurants coming to Bacon Brew and Que on Saturday. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market and general admission tickets can still be purchased.
