The Alabama Crimson Tide will play in its third straight SEC Championship Game on Saturday against its most common opponent, the Florida Gators.

Weather: The game will be played indoors so weather won't be a factor. Outside the dome, temperatures will be in the 50s to start the game and dropping into the 40s at night.

Series History: Alabama and Florida will meet for the 40th time in a series that dates back to 1904. These two programs have been the class of the SEC since the creation of the championship game in 1992 and this game usually has a national implications tied to it. Alabama and Florida will meet for the 16th time since that inaugural SEC Championship Game and nine of those meetings have crowned a conference champ. The Crimson Tide is riding a five-game winning streak over the Gators.

Last Meeting: Alabama dominated Florida everywhere but the scoreboard to claim the school's 25th SEC Championship last year in the Georgia Dome. Derrick Henry carried the ball 44 times as the Crimson Tide possessed the ball for nearly 27 more minutes than the Gators. Total yardage finished 437-180 and first downs were 25-7, both in favor of Alabama, in a 29-15 victory for Nick Saban.

Last Week: The offense made mistakes in the first half but Alabama dominated throughout the Iron Bowl and claimed its third straight win over Auburn, 30-12. The Crimson Tide rolled up over 500 yards of total offense while limiting the Tigers rushing attack to just 66 yards on 26 carries.

The Gators, meanwhile, gave up six sacks and didn't convert a single third down against Florida State. Jim McElwain's team only trailed by four midway through the third quarter but the Seminoles pulled away for a 31-13 victory.
